Description

The Straw Bale Garden Room is a sustainable new-build project that combines natural materials with low-impact design principles. Constructed with a locally sourced roundwood timber frame and straw bale walls, the building is finished with a breathable hemp-lime render and clay plaster that enhances durability while maintaining a natural aesthetic.

The solar panels generate renewable energy on-site. Large timber-framed windows and doors flood the interior with natural light while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

Designed as a warm, inviting, and environmentally responsible space, this project demonstrates how traditional building techniques and modern sustainability strategies can work hand-in-hand to create beautiful, energy-efficient architecture.
